Pray

July 18, 2011

“Prayer may be the most powerful force that a human can have. Prayer has been the beginning of some of the worlds biggest blessings and end of some of the worlds biggest problems. Prayer does not change God, but I know it has changed me. Prayer is the most intimate thing one can do upon this earth. I do not mean just talking to a god or made up force, but to hear, listen and talk to the one and only living God of everything. Thank you Jesus that we may now not have to go through traditions, rituals, priests, pastors, teachers, etc, etc, etc to commune with you. Thank you that you are our friend, authority and lover. Thank you that you have destroyed the vail that kept us from you and that you expose power hungry men that manipulate scriptures to make themselves the voice of God for people. Thank you that we may come to you directly and hear you ourselves. Thank you that you move and change us through our relationship and time spent before you and with you. Thank you that it is all about you and not men or man made organizations. Thank you that today in 2011 you, the Lord of all things that has brought down the greatest men and kingdoms and you who have lifted up every man and kingdom, want to talk with us, you want to listen to our cry and praise. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such an intimate experience such as prayer. May we come to you with reverence and great love for who you are and what you have done and still do” – Ethan Holub
