Encounter God

February 28, 2012
“Prayer is as natural an expression of faith as breathing is of life”
~ Jonathan Edwards

Our mandate is simple: raise up a generation that can openly display the love, power and plan of God. Jesus is all three.

When we pursue kingdom principles above His presence, we are looking for the kingdom without a king.

Anything you think you know about about God, that you can’t find in the person of Jesus, you have reason to question.

Our dreams and desires for the Kingdom are not independent from God, but instead exist because of God.

Any revelation that does not bring us into greater encounter with God only trains us to be more religious.

Many Christians miss out on God encounters because they are satisfied with good theology.

Jesus is perfect theology.

Compromise is the welcome mat to deception.

If you never live for the praises of men, you will not die from their criticisms.

Rule with the heart of a servant and serve with the heart of a king.

If you live cautiously, you friends will call you wise, you just won’t move many mountains.

Faith and Love together is power. When you keep your faith within the walls, it dies. When you take it out where Jesus intended it to be, life happens.

When I live out of discipline, I’m admired – When I live out of passion, I’m contagious.

From Adam until today God is and has been about one thing, Relationship. Relationship with you and with me. It is woven in every verse of the Bible. Relationship, Intimacy, Friendship. This is Eternal life, to know God. This is life to live with Christ in us. – Ethan Holub
