My dreams have nothing on my reality

May 13, 2014

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

― Dr. Seuss

This goes for God and my wife.

My dreams have nothing on my reality. I can’t imagine a better life with God and my wife, but It just keeps getting better. We have problems and hardships just like everyone else, in most areas of life, but they don’t move us. Jesus is our Lord and King and His love has changed our perspective, mind and heart.

When you reach this place we call “in love” with a woman (or man for you ladies), then you must must must use wisdom and receive deep and time consuming counsel from godly men and women, receiving more thoughts about what love and marriage are and are not. You must hear what others can testify to both good and bad in their marriage. A marriage without godly counsel is like playing a serious game of Russian roulette with the second most important foundation and pillar of your life and existence.

For the emotion of love is tossed back and forth by the waves of life, circumstance and situation, but if properly prepared in wisdom, truth and the word of God (in context), then you will find how deep and powerful love can be that is steered by the Will and come to understand the power of God that cannot be touched by divorce or sin.

Thank you for that insight Ethan! It’s so nice to hear something so true from even young marrieds that are probably wise beyond their years knowing that with God guiding their every step that they will get through anything. I would love to share this with a dear friend of mine needing this kind of encouragement in his own life. Thank you and may The Lord keep blessing your life and through you the lives of others.
